Each managed AI component, such as an assistant or an automation stack, adds €75 per month on any tier. Hetzner server costs are billed at cost, itemized, with no markup. Work beyond your tier’s hours is €90 per hour, excl. btw, and only ever after you approve it. Support runs in business hours, with response times per tier.

Every build runs through the same five controlled phases, whether we install a fresh stack or move an existing environment. Your current setup keeps running untouched until we deliberately switch, in a window you approve, with a tested rollback plan. Smaller automation projects follow the same discipline, just lighter.

The case for AI and automation is simple: hours back. Phones answered, leads triaged, documents filed, invoices drafted — time your team stops spending on work a machine does better. Sovereignty is the difference, not the pitch: the model comes to your data, your data does not go to the model.
An assistant where you already talk
A private assistant in Telegram, WhatsApp or your team chat, and on the phone if you want it to have a voice. It searches your files, books appointments, creates tasks and drafts invoices, all against your own systems.

The automation layer that wires your stack together can read now: leads get triaged, documents filed, meeting notes turned into tasks. AI is used where it earns its place, and skipped where a plain rule does the job better.

A private search across your wiki, documents and archives that answers in plain language, with sources. Indexed on your server, inside your walls, without becoming someone else’s training data.
The honest version: small open models run on your own hardware, and some tasks need bigger ones. When they do, I use an EU-hosted model under a written agreement, disclosed in your documentation, and only for the data that task needs. You always know which is which.

Every tool is wired together with automations I built myself. A new client conversation flows from this website into the CRM, projects, and invoicing without a single third-party data processor in between.
The rented equivalents of this register start around €80 a month for a single seat, and they grow with every user you add.
That is my stack, because that is what my company needs. Yours will look different, and that is the point. Dropbox has an owned equivalent. So do Slack, Notion, Zoom, Calendly, Mailchimp, Typeform, Zendesk and Shopify. If your business runs on it, there is almost certainly a version you can own, and where there is not, I will say so.

The exit clause
Everything is yours from day one. The servers run under your accounts, the domains are registered to you, and the documentation is written for your team, not for me.
If I disappear tomorrow, any competent engineer continues from the runbook. If you want to leave, you take everything with you and owe me nothing.
Sovereignty includes independence from me. That is the point.

The person behind the seal
I am Damjan Šajinović, a software engineer in Amsterdam with Serbian roots. In Serbian there’s a word, inat: the stubborn refusal to accept “that’s just how it is.” It’s the most accurate description of why Ironstack exists.
A few years ago I stopped accepting that my data lives in other people’s data lakes, where it is harvested, profiled, and sold as someone else’s product. So I rebuilt my digital life on servers I own, piece by piece, until nothing essential depended on anyone else’s cloud. Ironstack runs on that stack today, and builds the same ownership for businesses that feel the same discomfort.
I come to infrastructure as an engineer, not a reseller. I write the glue code, build the automations, and document every environment as if I will not be there tomorrow. I do not ask you to take anything on faith: you see every design decision, every runbook, and every line of the audit. That’s the deal. Full transparency is what ownership looks like.
Fair questions
You are one person. What happens when you are ill or on holiday?
Monitoring never sleeps, and everything I build is documented so no knowledge exists only in my head. Planned absences are announced well in advance, and retainer clients have defined response times per tier, within business hours. I will not pretend to be a 24/7 agency: you get one person, and that person answers.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on the size of your environment. A typical small-business migration runs four to eight weeks from audit to handover. The audit gives you an exact timeline before you commit to anything.
What does it cost?
The audit is €850 fixed, fully credited against a migration signed within 60 days. Migrations are €1,750 for simple environments, €3,750 for medium ones, and from €7,500 for complex ones, quoted after the audit. A Workspace Exit is €1,250 to €2,500. Workflow automations start at €950, and AI projects run from €1,500 to €3,000. Ongoing care is €150, €325 or €575 per month. All prices are excl. btw; projects are billed 50% on signing and 50% on go-live. The number in the proposal is fixed and does not move.
Do we have to migrate everything at once?
No. Migrations are phased by design, and the audit usually identifies quick wins. Starting with a single system is a perfectly good way to begin.
Is self-hosted actually safe enough for a business?
Safety comes from practice, not from a vendor logo. Updates, backups, monitoring, and hardening are part of every environment I hand over. What you gain on top is certainty: you know exactly where your data is and who can touch it.
What if we want to leave Ironstack later?
Then you leave, and you take everything with you. That is the exit clause above, and it is written into the agreement. Lock-in would contradict everything this company stands for.
Where does our data live, and what about the GDPR?
On servers you own, in an EU data center, under EU jurisdiction. With no American cloud provider in the chain there is no CLOUD Act ambiguity, your GDPR processor register gets shorter instead of longer, and “where is our data?” becomes a question you can answer by pointing.
And AI? Can we use it without leaking data?
Yes, if you are deliberate about it. The biggest AI risk in most companies today is employees pasting client data into free chatbots. I build the deliberate version: assistants and automations that work against your own systems, on your own server where possible, and through a disclosed EU-hosted model where not. The audit can map your current AI exposure as well.
